Xavier Chavarro began his musical training at an early age. He first attended the National Guitar Institute in New York under the direction of world renowned Classical masters Ruben Riera and Carlos Barbosa-Lima. After years of mastering the classical repertorie, he embarked on a different musical journey. He continued his studies with Jazz legends Reggie Workman, Junior Mance, Benny Powel and Edy Martinez. He ultimately earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Music from The New School Jazz and Contemporary Music Program in New York City. ![]() Mr. Chavarro has since performed in prestigious music venues throughout Europe (Wigmore Hall) and United States (Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall). Whether it be as a solo concertist or leading his own quartet. Mr. Chavarro is an active performer and educator. His unique voice can be identify in any of the diverse music styles that he performs, enjoys and is inspired by. He is equally at home performing Classical Repertorie, Jazz Standards, Brazilian Classics or Flamenco.
